The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) has not been seen in Genoa City, Wisconsin, in many years. But she is alive and living relatively well in Los Angeles, California.

Sheila’s infamous history in GC and LA has led to many crimes being committed, but only some being prosecuted. Such is the life of a heinous, scheming criminal who believes that all laws do not apply to her.

If Brown’s character realizes her current fever dream, she will beat the murder rap that is currently applied to her, following an admission that was captured during surveillance by the LA authorities.

Sheila debuted on Y&R in 1990. She first crossed over to The Bold and the Beautiful in 1992 and crossed back and forth between sister shows on other occasions in the years that passed.

Brown’s character was last seen in 2007, even though the actor who portrayed her was not believed to be playing Sheila at that point in the plot.

Michelle Stafford (Phyllis Summers) was thought to be working in a dual role. But as B&B fans learned in 2017, the doppelganger who was seen in GC was not Sheila.

More recently, Sheila admitted to killing a man while Bill Spencer (Don Diamont, who once portrayed Brad Carlton on Y&R) was part of a sting operation.

Bill’s efforts to convince Sheila that he loved him led to her admitting to the murder while under surveillance. That led to her arrest and current imprisonment.

According to Bold and Beautiful and Young and the Restless spoilers, Sheila is currently trying to work the father of one of her many children. Jack Finnegan (Ted King) was recently revealed as one of California’s top criminal defense attorneys.

The above information was not known when King’s character debuted two years ago. He was introduced as the married man Sheila was involved with. That led to the birth of John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan).

The evidence against her seems insurmountable. But this is Sheila, as crossover fans know so well.

Soap fans are often asked to suspend disbelief to accept certain fantastical elements of various plots. So, it is not far-fetched to believe Sheila could get off and be released from prison.

While she wants a relationship with her son, Finn, the head could be too intense in California this summer. So, Sheila could decide to pay a visit to GC, where her fiercest nemesis, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman), resides.

TPTB are bringing back many characters from memorable storylines. Sheila easily ranks with the most indelible villains in this soap’s history. So, seeing her return during the fiftieth anniversary would seem appropriate on Y&R.
