Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) says she lost her children because of a misguided connection with Jeremy. She holds him as accountable as Diane for problems in her life.

But Phyllis’ recent agreement with Jeremy may be more than it seems. Unless she is planning to work with him to target Diane, it is reasonable to believe Red is back.

Phyllis warned Jeremy not to go after her family, which includes Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez), and those connected to them. While Diane is not considered part of her clan, Phyllis recognizes Jack’s welfare is linked to her.

Jack’s repeated comments to Kyle, about being happy, underscore his frame of mind. Bergman’s character does not want to allow Diane to wallow in the past.

Like her, Jack is looking ahead. He has forgiven the death hoax and believes Diane is a changed woman. Phyllis feels otherwise but suffered the consequences of impressing that upon Jack.

Diane is Jack’s fiance and the woman he plans to spend the rest of his life wife. Jeremy has other plans, intending to wreck her life with Phyllis’ help.

Make no mistake, Diane has not revealed her existence and achieved the previously unthinkable when getting engaged to Jack. She does not plan to lose him. And Diane plans never to see him leave her and reunite with Phyllis.

Jeremy is not thinking straight. Pairing with Phyllis is risky, but he appears to be positioning her to take any fall that might happen.

Jack and Diane do not trust Phyllis. So, her claim of rejecting Jeremy’s offer to partner with him is suspicious.

It seems like Phyllis, who feels she has nothing to lose, is going for broke. She hopes to reset reality and live in a future free of Jeremy and Diane on Y&R.
