The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has a deal with his brother that is intended to block their older sister from advancing her plans. Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is proposing a deal to block Jack.

Ashley does not know Billy agreed to work with Jack and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Davidson’s character and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) were targeted members of an audience who intended to see Billy and Jack have it out at the Genoa City Athletic Club.

However, Ashley followed what she witnessed with an offer that seemed reasonable. She believes Billy is sickened by Jack’s pairing with Diane and also agrees the new Mrs. Abbott will bring Jabot down.

Jack and Diane believe Billy will remain resolute. But viewers are wondering what effect the pressure of Ashley’s pitch to join her team will have.

Ashley’s grudge is old. Diane and Tucker became romantically involved years ago when Ashley included the McCall name in her moniker.

Diane has demonstrated no signs of being capable of tanking Jabot. Yet, Ashley remains convinced that Diane’s pattern of hurting Jack, negatively affecting others’ lives, and blowing up her own life when faking death means trouble is dead ahead.

It feels possible that Billy could switch allegiances to Ashley if he and Jack’s alliance sours. The Abbott siblings are so volatile that it is hard to accurately predict what will happen, which is why the storyline is good.

One could argue that Billy will stick with Jack because Diane has convinced Thompson’s character she has changed. Billy does see the love she has for his brother.

It could also be asserted that Billy could rationalize ousting Diane from Jabot if some form of evidence exists or is produced that proves her to be a mortal threat to the family business.

But maybe Billy takes the sole CEO title if Jack is forced out and Ashley does not take over. Billy does not have to dupe his siblings while still becoming the lead Abbott at Jabot because of Jack and Ashley’s dueling plans on Y&R.
