The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) had a digital awakening. A soapy circumstance allowed him to hear Audra Charles’ (Zuleyka Silver) unique text alert and his father’s identical reminder sound within hours of each other.

That tip furthers the plot, allowing Devon to make the connection between Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) and Audra. So, that will eventually expose that Tucker planted a mole inside Chancellor-Winters.

Devon will be angered when he confirms that connection. However, Tucker’s original intent and the advice he gave his son will still be relevant.

According to Y&R spoilers Tucker could have approached Devon directly in the last few years. He could have told his son he wanted to start a business venture with him.

But Tucker suspected their lack of a close relationship would prevent Devon from desiring that type of partnership. Tucker’s outburst to Audra exposed his inner thoughts.

St. John’s character told Silver’s that he knows what is Best for devon best for Devon. Skipping his son’s childhood years created a visible effect. Tucker thinks of Devon as a child he must protect.

Devon has a good point. He told his sister, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), they merged Hamilton-Winters with Chancellor Industries so the combined company could be controlled by family.

Choosing to make an Initial Public Offering means that Chancellor-Winters’ control will be shared with non-family members. One of Tucker’s intentions in having Audra secretly inserted in CW was to ensure that he had inside information about the proposed stock offering.

Tucker could gain a controlling or, if not that, an agitating interest in CW. That would upend any plans Jill Abbott Atkinson (Jess Walton) and Lily had.

Devon will be in no mood to partner with his father. But if Tucker gains enough shares of stock, he will be able to dictate what comes next.

Jill and Lily likely will want nothing to do with Tucker if the above scenario happens. Devon initially will not either. However, a cooling-off period will create a different set of choices than previously existed.

Tucker anticipates flack. But if he can engineer a business relationship with Devon, no matter the short-term pain, he will do so in anticipation of eventual appreciation on Y&R.
