The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) was glad to welcome his daughter back to Genoa City, Wisconsin. He and the fans are hoping Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) stays in town because she and her father need each other.

Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has put everyone in an increasingly bad position. The emotional damage she is causing needs to end soon. But the dilemma everyone who knows the truth faces is not being able to locate her.

It is fair to wonder if Lucy’s return signals a coming resolution point in the plot.

Daniel was right to tell Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), and Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) about his mother being alive.

Graziadei’s character did cover for his sister when saying that he, not Summer Newman Abbott (Allison Lanier), met with Phyllis. But Daniel did that with the best of intentions.

Telling Lucy that Phyllis is alive was also the right thing to do because a girl her age should not have the truth kept from her for whatever reason because this involves her paternal grandmother.

Y&R Spoilers – When Will Phyllis Summers Get Help?

What Phyllis really needs is help. She arguably suffered a mental breakdown during the period when she agreed to work with Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

Phyllis is smart and would never knowingly abandon her family, as even her longtime rival, Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) acknowledged. But Phyllis was not in her right mind for a while, believing her family and friends abandoned her.

Then, Phyllis was forced to defend her life when she had to kill Jeremy. Hyde’s character said he intended to eliminate her because she wanted to tell her family about the murder hoax.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lucy Romalotti’s Presence Is Important

Daniel is trying to keep himself centered while supporting Summer. Thankfully, Lucy is back in GC. She is a calming presence and someone he can rely on.

Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) is away in New York, visiting her daughter. Daniel’s daughter is someone Phyllis went to visit in Portugal, with the intent of helping them reconnect. Phyllis’ efforts worked.

Daniel is doing all he can to help his mother and others who he cares about. Lucy could be the emotional key to convincing Phyllis to turn herself in. O’Briant’s character can also provide needed emotional support when hard legal consequences follow for Phyllis on Y&R.
