The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Ashley Abbott McCall’s (Eileen Davidson) marriage provides a momentary distraction from the family battle she is having with her older brother.

Her younger brother was fighting against her as well, but she did not know it.

Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) continues to play a dangerous game. He is aligned with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters).

Jack went to the Chancellor mansion with a plumb wedding gift in hand. He loathes Tucker and considers Ashley’s decision to marry him to be reckless.

Ashley is exhausted, as her second day of marriage proved. She accused Tucker of cavorting with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), which was understandable given his history with her and because Ashley was aware of him going to her suite at the Genoa City Athletic Club.

Tucker explained why he was there and noted that her nephew, Jack’s son, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), was with Audra the entire time.

Part of calming Ashley’s nerves included seemingly convincing her to back off the fight with Jack, at least temporarily.

Y&R Spoilers – Billy Abbott Does Not Trust Tucker McCall

Billy did not trust Diane when she returned from the dead and soon reconciled with Jack. But time passed and Billy grudgingly admitted that Diane does love his brother.

A recent sit-down session at Jabot convinced Billy that Diane has the best interests of Jabot in mind. That allowed him to later accept her plan to ferret information out of Ashley and Tucker.

Unless the dynamic changes, Billy will likely remain on Jack and Diane’s side. That should make it harder for Ashley and Tucker to use Simply Ashley to swallow Jabot, assuming they attempt to in the relatively near future.

Jack loved running Jabot with Kyle. But his son wanted to head Marchetti and later chose to leave the family business when he and Summer Newman Abbott’s (Allison Lanier) marital issues unfolded.

Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) took over for Kyle temporarily but did not last long. Billy surprised Jack when he agreed to become Jabot’s co-chief Executive Officer.

Jack trusts Billy and Diane. After them, there is Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) on a very short list of confidants.

John Abbott’s (Jerry Douglas) namesake believes he must keep his guard up to protect his father’s legacy on Y&R.
