The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Phyllis Summers’ is about to face the music, after months of lying, scheming, faking her own death, and trying to destroy Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Phyllis will have to pay a price for her crimes and shenanigans, and it seems almost impossible to not write the character out, at least for a brief period of time. Is Michelle Stafford leaving Y&R?

Phyllis has really backed herself in to a corner on The Young and the Restless. Despite her connections in town and financial resources, the sneaky red-head will have to be arrested or at least charged with something. From framing an innocent woman to faking her death, Phyllis definitely committed a few felonies. It will be a miracle if she avoids a prison sentence.

The Young And The Restless Rumors – Is Phyllis Summers Headed To Jail

Since it was revealed that Phyllis was returning to Genoa City and the truth was coming out, Y&R rumors have been floating around that Michelle Stafford is leaving the CBS soap opera. Considering the lengthy list of crimes she has committed, there could be some truth to those reports. If Phyllis has to go to prison, then Michelle Stafford could be off the canvas indefinitely.

According to The Young and the Restless spoilers, there is one other possibility for Phyllis other than getting arrested. But, that would involve a lengthy trip to a mental health facility.

Even if Phyllis does pull the crazy card and claim she was not mentally sound when she was obsessing over Diane Jenkins and framing her, she will still be sentenced to some time in a mental hospital. So, regardless of how this plays out and what defense Phyllis uses, Michelle Stafford could still be written off the soap temporarily.
