The Umbrella Academy Cast Celebrate October 1 Birthday Ahead Of Season 4

The Umbrella Academy follows a dysfunctional group of adopted siblings, each with superpowers and all of whom share an October 1 birthday. The Netflix hit reveals these siblings trying to save the world and their future. After three exciting seasons, the streamer has already confirmed that The Umbrella Academy will return for season 4. They also said this will be the final season of the quirky show. However, the cast celebrated their characters’ shared birthday on October 1.

The Umbrella Academy set to air fourth and final season

Seasons 1 to 3 of The Umbrella Academy have become hits on Netflix, leading to the superpowered series being renewed for a fourth season. However, season 4 will be the final season and will, apparently, give fans closure.

Fans have followed the adventures of the dysfunctional adopted siblings, all born on October 1, as they try to save themselves and the world.

The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the series celebrated the characters’ shared birthday with an October 1 tweet/post. It featured a video of our favorite superpowered characters celebrating their joint birthday, ending with an image of an umbrella, with the sad words, “THE FINAL SEASON.” Meanwhile, the caption reads:

on october 1, 1989, our extraordinary super-powered babies were born. in 2024, they return ☂️ happy birthday brellies

What about the cast for season 4?

The Netflix series stars Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H Min, Ritu Arya and Colm Feore who will all return.

Moreover, in a recent announcement relating to season 4, new cast members were announced. Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally join as community college doctors Gene and Jean Thibedeau, who apparently “wear sensible footwear and suffer from the most extreme case of déjà vu this timeline has ever seen.”

However, David Cross also joins the cast as “upstanding, shy business owner and family man, Sy Grossman.”

The Umbrella Academy was officially renewed for season 4 in August 2022 and was confirmed it will be the final season.

The show’s creator, Steve Blackman, said in a statement:

I’m so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings’ journey we began five years ago.

But before we get to that conclusion, we’ve got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes.

For those who haven’t watched yet, seasons 1 to 3 and available for streaming on Netflix. So far, no official date has been announced for the fourth and final season. However, What’s On Netflix did report that it will air sometime in 2024.
