The Royal Family Is ‘Delighted’ That Meghan Markle Is Skipping The Coronation

It seems as though everyone is releasing a huge sigh of relief behind closed doors at Buckingham Palace. That’s because there’s a new report that suggests the royal family is “delighted” that Meghan Markle won’t be attending the coronation.

Instead, her husband Prince Harry will be traveling to London by himself to attend what will most likely be the most important day of King Charles’ day and a very historic moment for Great Britain. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

According to royal expert Tom Bower, who often has something or another to say about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He says that “everyone is delighted” that Meghan Markle is not coming. She will be staying behind in California with the couple’s two young children, Archie and Lilibet.

Bower added, “They made sure that she wasn’t going to come by making sure that she was told she’d have to curtsy three times, that she wouldn’t be in the spotlight, that she wouldn’t play any part in the whole thing and that if she came, they’d be put in row 54 in the back behind the column.”

Of course, many royal fans and critics alike weighed in on the matter on social media. Some commented with, “For the nth time, how does this kind of reporting make any of the Windsors look good? Because it doesn’t. It doesn’t make them look good,” along with, “Also, they need to pick a lane. Either they’re thrilled she’s not coming or they’re mad at her for not coming and not supporting King Charles the way he did for five minutes at her wedding.”

Another critic wrote, “So we are supposed to believe that Kate wanted Meghan seated in the back but it was her idea to include H&M on the walkabout? If Meghan was seated away from the other royals, when was she supposed to curtsy? I’m so over all of this drama.”
