Before COVID and before three of Kody Brown’s wives dumped him, Sister Wives was on life support. No one cared about the Brown Family any more, and most of the kids had aged out.
You couldn’t pay former Sister Wives fans to waste an hour of their life and tune in to the show every week, and TLC knew it.
Word on the internet is that when TLC tried to deliver the news to Kody Brown that they were kicking his family to the curb because of ratings, the patriarch began bargaining backwards and actually agreed to a massive pay-cut to stay on their air.
It’s no secret that Kody Brown has financial troubles, in fact it’s hard to remember a season was money wasn’t the main storyline on Sister Wives.
It seemed like no matter what Kody did, he never could make enough money to house and feed his 19 kids and help set them up for college.
College was the least of their worries. Half the time Kody Brown was scrambling to just keep rooves over everyone’s heads.
Now that Janelle, Meri, and Christine have all left the family, that means THREE incomes have left the family and for the first time since joining the Brown Family, Robyn will have to carry her own workload if she and Kody want to survive. And, that means a lot of filming, for hilariously low wages.
