The Night Agent On Its Way To Netflix All-Time Most Popular List

In only its second week of streaming on Netflix, The Night Agent soared to the Top 10 on the streaming channel.

Anyone that has binged The Night Agent knows how dramatic and exciting the thriller series is. In fact, it is so exciting, the FBI series is likely to hit the most popular English language TV series list on Netflix. This news comes after the series was renewed for season 2.

The Night Agent in the Top 10 on Netflix

In only its second week on Netflix, the FBI action thriller The Night Agent drew another 216.4 million hours viewed. The accomplishment comes during the period March 27 to April 2, where it easily joined the Top 10 list for the week. Now, it is possible that the series could be crowned one of the all-time, most-watched series on the streamer.

In total, The Night Agent has amassed 385 million viewing hours, leaving only around 120 million needed from hitting that all-time Top 10 list. Currently, Ginny & Georgia season 2 sits at the No. 10 mark with a little over half a billion viewing hours.

Over the last week, the FBI thriller series enjoyed the third-best premiere week across season 1 for any Netflix Original. In its first few days on the streamer, The Night Agent was only behind Wednesday and Dahmer. If it keeps doing as well, the thriller show starring Gabriel Basso could possibly hit the Top 5 series on the streamer.

What other shows are on the Top 10 list?

According to Deadline, last week saw season 4 of Love is Blind at No. 2 in the list “ it attracted 47.6 million hours viewed. Meanwhile, season 2 of the popular Shadow and Bone dropped to third place with 27 million viewing hours. Moreover, there were newcomers on the list, including Unseen Emergency: NYC, Wellmania and Unstable. Meanwhile, Wednesday, Outer Banks season 3 and You season 4 were also on the list.

When it comes to movies, Murder Mystery, starring Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler dropped on March 31, bringing in 64 million hours viewed and pushing it to No. 1. Moreover, Luther: The Fallen Sun comes in at No. 3.

What is The Night Agent about?

For those who have yet to watch The Night Agent, the series stars Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan. It tells the story of FBI agent Peter Sutherland (Basso) who works at the night action desk in the basement of the White House. When he receives a distress call, he is quickly put in charge of protecting cyber security expert, Rose (Buchanan). Meanwhile, that one phone call plunges Peter into a deadly conspiracy involving a mole at the White House.

The Night Agent season 1 is streaming on Netflix right now and has already been renewed for season 2. As season 1 was based on the novel of the same name by Matthew Quirk, and covered the full story, it is unknown what we can expect from the second season.
