The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 Premiere Date

When will The Handmaid’s Tale Season 6 hit Hulu?  It has been months since the Handmaid’s Tale season 5 finale aired on the streaming service.  News broke a while back that season 6 has been renewed, however Hulu has yet to pin down an exact return date.  However, we can make a pretty educated guess regarding when new Handmaid’s Tale episodes will return to Hulu.

Last year during season 5, The Handmaid’s Tale fans got some pretty devastating news.  Hulu made the announcement that season 6 would be the final season of the award-winning drama.

The Handmaid’s Tale Ends On Hulu

Handmaid’s Tale creator and producer Bruce Miller released the following statement regarding the show’s end,

“It has been a true honour to tell the story of Margaret Atwood’s groundbreaking novel and the chillingly relevant world, and we are thrilled to bring viewers a sixth and final season of The Handmaid’s Tale.  We are grateful to Hulu and MGM for allowing us to tell this story, which unfortunately has remained as relevant as ever throughout its run, and are in awe of our incredible fans for their unwavering support, and without whom we never would have gotten to this point.”

The Handmaid’s Take Season 6 Cast List

Of course, Hulu has been pretty tight-lipped when it comes to Handmaid’s Tale season 6 spoilers.  However, we do know that the following cast members will be returning for the final episodes:

• Elisabeth Moss as June Osborne
• Yvonne Strahovski as Serena Joy Waterford
• Madeline Brewer as Janine
• Ann Dowd as Aunt Lydia
• O-T Fagbenle as Luke
• Max Minghella as Nick
• Samira Wiley as Moira
• Bradley Whitford as Commander Lawrence
• Amanda Brugel as Rita

So, when will The Handmaid’s Tale season 6 episodes premiere on Hulu?  The series used to release new episodes once a year.  However, COVID threw off the filming schedule and there were some hiccups around season 4.  Now, it appears The Handmaid’s Tale is back on an annual schedule and word on the internet is we can expect a Handmaid Tale premiere date in early 2024.
