The Good Doctor: Shaun Faces Parenting Issues After Misdiagnosing A Child

The Good Doctor spoilers, news, and updates tease that Dr. Shaun Murphy (Freddie Highmore) will have some parenting problems after misdiagnosing a three-year-old patient. His relationship with Lea Dilallo (Paige Spara) relationship will be tested once again once a young patient is rushed to the hospital after suffering a stroke.

The Good Doctor is a medical drama that follows the story of Shaun Murphy, an autistic and savant surgical doctor at St. Bonaventure hospital. It’s currently on its sixth season, and it’ll have a total of 22 episodes.

This season, fans have seen the pair clash over how they want to raise their unborn child. Shaun’s parenting skills will be tested when a three-year-old patient is rushed to St. Bonaventure in episode 14, titled Hard Heart. The next episode is set to air on February 27, and fans were given a few hints on what will happen by then.

“When a three-year-old arrives at the ER, the team immediately recognizes he is having a stroke,” the synopsis read.

“However, Dr. Shaun Murphy’s diagnosis of the underlying cause doesn’t solve the problem, which has Dr. Alex Park (Will Yun Lee) search deeper,” the synopsis continued.

In the episode, fans will see Lea’s frustration over the demands of parenting. When Dr. Aaron Glassman (Richard Schiff) comes around to baby-proof their house, the latter gives her a book that he wants her to read before she starts feeling exhausted. But it seemed like she was already feeling that way when she replied, “already there.”

The Good Doctor Spoilers – Nathan’s Misdiagnosis

Meanwhile, Nathan is rushed to the hospital after hitting his head two days ago. During the assessment, the young boy fails to give Dr. Alex Park (Will Yun Lee) a high five. The latter then informs the boy’s parents that he’s having a stroke.

After undergoing an MRI, Shaun said they could fix Nathan’s problem with interesting brain surgery. But the surgeons eventually discovered that the hemorrhage wasn’t caused by his head injury. Viewers will soon discover the root cause of Shaun’s problem.

Not only that, Shaun’s misdiagnosis will force him to face his shortcomings not only as a doctor but as a future parent, too. If Shaun is struggling to recognize the problems that his young patients are facing, how could he recognize issues with his own kid?
