B&B Spoilers: Hopes, Worst Fears Realized – Deacon Chooses Sheila

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) was opposed to Deacon Sharpe’s (Sean Kanan) engagement offer. She had been okay with their relationship when it was secret but always realized what Deacon would risk if Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) learned they were together.

Fans of good soap likely recall last fall fondly. Sheila and Deacon advanced from friends to soul mates during that period which included Brown donning her famous nurse outfit, which was a wink to her glory days on B&B, and the original soap she crossed over from, The Young and the Restless.

Viewers have taken a long ride from then until now, with Sheila having a murder charge she admitted to being dismissed.

Sheila forced her way into Deacon’s apartment, which sits above Il Giardino. That became the origin of their more personal relationship.

A great con took place as Sheila dressed as a different character, calling herself Lina. The cheeky attire disguised Sheila’s face and body, with viewers suspending disbelief to allow that part of the plot to move forward.

However, Sheila did not force Deacon to fall in love with her. That happened naturally and represents good plotting, writing, delivery, and of course, superb acting by Brown and Kanan.

B&B Spoilers – Kimberlin Brown And Sean Kanan Deserves Emmy Nominations

This year’s awards have yet to be announced because the ceremony was postponed. While the writer’s strike recently ended, the actors remain out. So, fans are patiently waiting to learn the results of the 2023 nominations.

Hopefully, Brown and Kanan will be part of the 2024 nomination list in the supporting actor categories.

Kanan won a Daytime Emmy in 2021 as part of an ensemble for Studio City, which was honored in the Outstanding Limited Series category. Kanan was a co-creator and lead actor of that online show.

Brown has received two nominations (2022, on B&B and 1993, on The Young and the Restless) for her performances as Sheila.

The actor’s performances in recent months, reflecting some of the best in a stellar career, should at least earn her a nomination if not also the Emmy next year. Anything less would be unjust.

Hope fears for her father’s well-being. But he can not see that, choosing to believe Hope is being closed-minded about Sheila’s quest for redemption.

But no rational mind could compare Deacon’s backstory to Sheila’s. So, it feels like Sheila’s concerns for Deacon will be realized and that Hope will not back off in wanting him to break from Brown’s legendary character on B&B.
