As noted by Deadline the Tudum event was held on Saturday in Brazil, where Hamilton’s Terminator co-star, Arnold Schwarzenegger appeared. Meanwhile, he was there as Netflix’s chief action officer and the star of the Arnold documentary that debuted this month.

While Schwarzenegger was on stage, Hamilton sent a video message that played during the event saying:

Good to see you, Arnold. Let’s get dinner soon… and everyone else, I’ll see you in Hawkins…

Meanwhile, as Hamilton is a fan of the show herself, she joked that she doesn’t know “how to be a fangirl and an actress at the same time,” adding, “I’m gonna work on that.”

The news relating to Hamilton is the first major casting news about season 5 of the 1980s supernatural show, Stranger Things. However, while we know Hamilton is in the show, her actual role remains a mystery.

Moreover, the news comes at a time when production on the show remains at a standstill due to the ongoing WGA Writers’ strike that started on May 2. Meanwhile, the strike came as the Writers Guild of America and the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers, an association representing studios, failed to come to an agreement on a new contract.

Meanwhile, soon after news of the strike came in May, the show’s creators Matt and Ross Duffer made a statement on Twitter, writing:

Duffers here. Writing does not stop when filming begins. While we’re excited to start production with our amazing cast and crew, it is not possible during this strike. We hope a fair deal is reached soon so we can all get back to work. Until then — over and out. #wgastrong

Meanwhile, Finn Wolfhard, who has starred as Mike Wheeler in Stranger Things since the show debuted in 2016, recently told EW that they are “pressing pause until the strike is figured out.” Wolfhard added that he’s “antsy to start (filming) because he’s a fan of the show first and foremost.

While saying he is excited to start filming the final season“to just see where every character’s journey takes them.”

Meanwhile, as it is clear that fans will have to wait a little longer for the final season than they expected, they can, at least, start speculation about how Hamilton will fit in. This comes at a time when Hawkins is trying to come to terms with what happened in that wild season 4 finale.

As the strike continues, there is no news of when season 5 of Stranger Things will premiere on Netflix.
