Source Says Prince Harry And Meghan Were “Humiliated” By Cancelled Spotify Podcast

Harry and Meghan‘s multi-million dollar deal with Spotify did not pan out as well as they may have hoped, with a top executive of the giant streaming platform calling them “f”**king grifters.”

It was all joy for the couple when they moved to America and were approached with multi-million dollar deals to produce contents for two of the biggest streaming giants in the world, Spotify and Netflix.

But now, with a few Netflix shows axed and Spotify completely out of the horizon, the couple are going to have to rebrand themselves to keep on going strong.

According to a close source, they’re not yet done with their plan to become the ultimate Hollywood power couple.

It was a huge blow for the Sussexes when Spotify decided to cancel their deal with the couple, following Archetypes’ poor performance.

Even though the podcast was able to draw some of the biggest names in Hollywood – Mariah Carey and Serena Williams, to name a few – its 12 episodes did not perform entirely well for Spotify to justify the amount of money they spent on it.

However, a source close to the couple at the time blamed the minimal episodes to the fact the couple were still learning the works. Currently, Meghan is said to be shopping it around to different networks to see who bites.

At the time of Archetypes’ launch, it was described as a program to discuss “the fields of cultural treatment of women and stereotypes facing women.”

Meghan and her guests spent much of the time discussing hurtful stereotypes surrounding women, with a focus on black women in particular.

The source said: “The Sussexes haven’t talked about it publicly but it was humiliating for them both,” adding, “The Spotify failure put a fire under both of them to keep moving forward.”

Advisors for Harry and Meghan are said to be in talks with Spotify competitor, Amazon-owned Audible, to lock in another multi-million dollar deal.
