It looks like Kate Middleton might want to step aside here. That’s because it looks like there is another member of the royal family who is about to spend some time in the royal spotlight. Of course, we are talking about Prince Edward’s wife, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. A lot of people couldn’t help but notice just how radiant she looked while she was at a royal engagement with her nephew, Prince William. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

William and Sophie were on hand for the screening of Rhino Man. The event was hosted by United for Wildlife at the Battersea Power Station. And while it’s Kate Middleton who usually accompanies her husband to these kinds of events, it was Sophie who decided to step in this time.

Sophie wore a floor-length purple floral dress and let’s just say that her royal fans simply couldn’t get enough of her look. She looked absolutely stunning! What’s more, it seemed like the Prince of Wales was also very happy to be with her, as he kept on grinning from ear to ear.

Some have even taken to Twitter to write comments such as, “She looks STUNNING!!! And William is always a tall cool glass of water on a hot day. She deserves all the gold stars. And this color & that dress w/matching accessories are sublime on her,” along with, “HRH the #DuchessofEdinburgh, because she is not quite such a natural beauty as young C and M, is underrated on the style front. She is a pretty midlife lady and has a terrific fashion sense imo. Always elegant and on point. Prince Edward chose well.”

Another fan wrote, “She has such beautiful eyes and smile, I’m always drawn to her inner beauty, she lights up when she smiles. Not only that but she also has killer legs. She’s a great role model for the royal family.”
