Sister Wives Viewer Shares Startling Throwback Of Robyn Brown

Nine seasons ago, TLC fans watched Sister Wives Season 8, Episode 7. Of course, it’s a well-remembered scene as it took fans into the divorce that Robyn wanted. At the time, the show made out that Meri Brown was keen on it. However, few fans believed that she really wanted to divorce her husband Kody. At the time, she was the only legally married wife to the patriarch of the polygamous family. Watching old seasons can sometimes turn up gold, and this time, a rather startling screenshot of Robyn got fans talking on social media.

For years, TLC fans urged Meri to leave Kody Brown. However, she stayed, almost like a martyr on a  self-torturing mission. Finally, at the end of Season 17, she packed her bags after Kody told her to go. Recall, Kody Brown married his first wife in 1990. When he divorced Meri, he claimed it was so that he could legally adopt Robyn’s children. However, many fans feel that Robyn really manipulated the situation so she could be the top dog in the kennel.

In the run-up to the 18th season of Sister Wives, rumors run around that Kody’s displeased with Robyn. Is he really beginning to realize that she might have manipulated Janelle, Meri, and Christine out of his life? Most people find that unlikely, but there have been rumors that turned into spoilers in the past. Anyway, going back into the past, a viewer spotted something that many people missed during the divorce episodes.

Latecomer to the TLC show, u/whatacatch_nat just watched Season 8, Episode 7 and they spotted something that seems a bit startling. So, they quickly grabbed a screenshot and dropped it on the r/TLCsisterwives subreddit. In the caption, the viewer noted that they didn’t believe that Robyn’s behavior was “a coincidence.” 

The Sister Wives viewer noticed that Robyn Brown and Meri wore almost identical outfits. Unless Kody was into cosplay two up at a time, it seemed remarkable. After all, Robyn even styled her hair similar to Meri’s, as it seemed to be lightened. Down to the black sandals and through to the jeans, they were strikingly similar. What on earth was she twinning with her rival for? The only difference, it seems, was that the shirt was a different color under the matching pink tops.

Sister Wives fans could see that Meri was unconsciously leaning toward Kody as if seeking support. Meanwhile, her foot, leg, and shoulder were angled away from Robyn, as if she felt threatened. So, they probably were not twinning because they were besties.

While some viewers might have noticed it at the time, many folks missed it. In the comments of the post on Reddit, one of them said, “Never noticed that! Creepy!!!”

Meanwhile, Appropriate_Ad_4416 opined, “I would say, wow I hate when you accidentally dress similarly….but cmon. The jacket, even the old lady scrappy sandals??? Robyn really has no sense of individuality, but instead competes in every passive aggressive way.”
