Sister Wives viewers have watched Kody Brown embarrass and disrespect Meri Brown for several seasons since her Catfish scandal nearly ten years ago.  It was clear Kody had no desire to rekindle any relationship with his first wife after she was caught canoodling with a woman posing as a man online.

It’s one thing to be done with a relationship, but we can all agree that Kody Brown has been downright cruel to Meri Brown since the Catfish debacle.  Meri was wrong, she never even denied that she was wrong.  But, Kody’s animosity towards her seems to run deeper.  Here’s why Sister Wives fans think the patriarch hates Meri Brown.

Sister Wives fans know Kody Brown doesn’t support the LGBT community.  In fact, he no longer speaks to two of his children who are in relationships with members of the same sex.

Gwendlyn Brown and Leon Brown have mentioned on difference occasions their lack of relationship with their father since their coming outs.

Obviously, Kody Brown is a public figure and he can’t openly and aggressively shame LGBT community members.  But, Sister Wives fans know he doesn’t support same sex relationships or marriages.

The way Kody Brown has treated Meri over the years is way more than just anger because she was flirting with people online.

The fact that Meri was busted with another woman is what really bothered Kody.  Among their religious community, Kody Brown was mortified and made his disgust very clear.

Sure, Meri Brown has argued that she was manipulated by her alleged Catfish and tricked in to thinking she was a man.  But, parts of Meri’s story aren’t adding up and she did see the woman at one point during the relationship.

Fans are convinced Meri made up the Catfish angle to avoid embarrassment for dating a woman, and ridicule from Kody Brown and their religion.

Sure, Meri may have been Catfished in the beginning.  But, it looks like she discovered the truth long before she confessed that she did and continued to carry on a relationship with the woman.
