Beginning in 2021, several Sister Wives women decided that life with Kody just contained too many challenges to make it worthwhile. Christine, Janelle, and Meri Brown all split from their now ex-hubby.

However, Robyn Brown stands out as staying faithful to Kody. But Brown himself has focused on staying loyal to his religion. A member of the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB), Kody follows the rules of his chosen church. AUB is a sect of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Kody Brown – Neglects Kids That Stray From His Religion

Because the Sister Wives patriarch values his church, he feels upset that some of his kids walked away from his religion. And Kody showed his frustration by ignoring those children. From social media pics to Sister Wives episodes, Brown doesn’t even hesitate to display his neglect of certain offspring.

However, some fans think that Kody has decided to prioritize Robyn’s children. And one Sister Wives viewer theorized, “I don’t think Kody has ever cared what the kids have done/will do outside of hero worshipping him. The moment anyone doesn’t bow down to his manly superiority, he can’t even fake an interest or care for them.”

But others noted that the Sister Wives kids divide over whether they feel safe in discussing their feelings about their father. For instance, Mykelti Brown has shown support for Kody. But her younger sister Gwendlyn Brown makes her disdain clear.

And another Sister Wives viewer speculated that Kody deliberately ignores any kids who don’t obey him. “He ignores those he can’t control. That’s pretty much all the kids but [Robyn’s].
