Sister Wives spoilers reveal that, according to Cheat Sheet, since announcing the end of their relationship in 2021, Kody and Christine have sorted out exactly what went awry with their marriage in front of an audience.

In the Sister Wives, Season 17 Tell-all episodes, the Brown patriarch is spilling all the tea. He admits that he only married Christine because she was polygamist royalty.

Though the Brown family is certainly famous in the reality TV world, fame is a different animal in the world of polygamy. Before she married Kody in 1994, Christine Brown was Christine Allred, the granddaughter of the founder of the AUB, Rulon C. Allred.

Kody has finally admitted what fans have reportedly always suspected. He only married Christine because of what her family had to offer.

In the second installment of the season 17 tell-all episodes, Kody opened up. Now that Christine is enjoying her life in Utah without him, Kody’s decided to let the cat out of the bag.

The TLC personality admitted that he only married the mother of six because of the status her maiden name holds within the polygamist community. Apparently, Kody wouldn’t have given her a second glance if she had been an Allred. And, while Sister Wives fans are assuredly angry, they’re not at all surprised.

Despite honesty, the admission is disgusting to Sister Wives fans. They’ve theorized that Kody’s marriage to Christine was always for her family’s status and nothing more. Reddit users have reportedly been maintaining that Christine and Kody’s marriage was based on her family’s standing in the polygamist community since at least January 2022.

Telling hints have been sprinkled throughout the series like breadcrumbs. The family’s memoir is also reportedly peppered with them. In the book, “Becoming Sister Wives,” Kody speaks of finding Christine unattractive referencing the way she ate nachos. Christine recalled that Kody was actually planning on marrying one of her friends but that one didn’t pan out.

In season one of the show, Christine described her wedding day, noting that it was “morose” with Kody looking petrified as they walked toward one another. Meri Brown, Kody’s first wife, recalled a very different wedding day which was reportedly totally different that what Christine had experienced when she got hitched to Kody.
