Just recently on Redditor, there were a lot of questions about the real reasons that Kody decided to begin a life of polygamy. One Redditor wrote, “Kody became a polygamist to please his father. He said his dad essentially felt he was most unlikely to succeed. He was on his Mormon mission when his dad decided him and his wife should be polygamists. He wanted to be accepted by his dad so he joined the new religion, and it went well for a really long time.”

As soon as other Redditors saw this post, they wanted to chime in on what they thought about Kody’s reasoning behind a polygamist lifestyle. One wrote, “Kody has a lot of issues around men and masculinity. I think his dad was probably very hard on him for being an effeminate theatre kid. I also wonder if his dad wasn’t just a philanderer and his mom twisted it into polygamy. I suspect Kody’s dad was a grade A a**hole.” Another added, “Polygamy gave Kody 2 things: 1.
