Janelle Brown is being as honest as she can be with her desires, and although already late, what she would have wanted from her crashed marriage with ex-husband Kody Brown. Before we get into that, let’s do a little recap on how Janelle became a Mrs. Brown and how the other Mrs. Browns came to be.
Sister Wives Spoilers — Kody Brown Who First Married Meri Brown In 1990 As His Only Legal Wife.
Three years down the road in 1993, he got married to Janelle Brown spiritually. The following year 1994, he added Christine Brown to the list of his spiritual wives.
Sixteen years later, Kody divorced Meri and went on to legally marry Robyn that same year 2010. He then proceeded to adopt her three children from her previous marriage as his own.
However, in November 2021, Christine divorced Kody, and the next year Janelle did the same. Meri also toed the same line, leaving Kody with just Robyn as his last and only wife.
In a recent interview with E! News’ Francesca Amiker, Janelle who was joined by Christine, told Francesca what she would have loved to change in her marriage with Kody.
Sister Wives Brown — What Is That, Janelle Brown?
While speaking with Francesca, Janelle, 54, who shares six children Logan, 29, Maddie, 28, Hunter, 26, Garrison, 25, Gabriel, 22, and Savanah, 18, with Kody, 54, admitted that although she is no longer married to him, “We really did have a good time.”
She went on to state that it would have been best if their marriage was signed on and there was a certificate to prove that.
Janelle’s comments were based on the fact that polygamy is illegal in the U.S. therefore most women who indulge in it, “were disenfranchised, they were being assigned marriages.”
Speaking from her experience as one who was once spiritually married, she proposed that polygamy be made legal.
She said, “The easiest way to solve that is to give a woman claim to your legal assets or your estates,” and of course, Christine agreed with her and added, “You give this woman claim and, oh, he’s going to treat her good at that point.” Janelle then went on to say that if she could change one thing in her past marriage, “I would probably have more assets in my name.”
She then added a piece of advice to the women looking to follow that line, telling them to, “Take care of yourself, because he could die, he could leave.”
Christine chimed in, “He could find the love of his life. Just saying,” referencing Kody’s previous revelation of never being in love with any of his three wives until he met Robyn.
