Should TLC Just Put Sister Wives To Bed?

There are spoilers for Sister Wives Season 18, but some people are thoroughly tired of the TLC show. Not everyone is singing out their praises for yet another bunch of scenes showing Kody Brown blustering and being horrible to Meri, Janelle, and Christine. Nor are they that happy to see another season with Robyn shedding her dramatic non-existent tears., So, should the network just put it to bed already?

Sister Wives: Season 18 Got A Premiere Date & Teaser

When Christine Brown left Kody at the end of Season 17, Meri and Janelle also left. Meri was sent away, while Janelle also announced her single status. Plenty of people thought that it seemed like the right time to can the show. After all, it became clear to everyone that polygamy wasn’t the paradise that the original premise claimed it was. Some folks hoped for spinoffs for the wives, but the execs seem determined to milk the family for the last drop in ratings. The new season will premiere on August 20 at 10 p.m. ET on TLC

The Sister Wives trailer showed Janelle yelling at Kody and telling him in satisfyingly rude words where to take himself. Meanwhile, Garrison Brown took the lead at a family meeting to encourage the others to say sayonara to their no-longer required father. Meri refused to give up hope that Kody will take her back, (Yawn!). Meanwhile, Christine looked elegant and self-satisfied. Of course,  Robyn sobbed, and Kody scowled. In a dramatic moment he said, “I worked so hard to do what was right and when you lost that, well, I should just be the devil I think I am now.” 

Sister Wives: Many People Are Excited But Not All

When TLC dropped the poster for the next season, a lot of people claimed their excitement. However, a lot of other people didn’t. Actually, one of them even wondered why the show is still “a thing.” Well, despite claiming that they hate Kody Brown it seems loads of people can’t wait to see him get a big kick in the you-know-what. In fact, social media posts showed praying hands that even Robyn might leave, and then he’ll reap his just rewards for being a narcissist.

Other Sister Wives fans don’t want to see any of that, and quite frankly, they hope to never see Kody ever again, single or not. Here’s what a few people said: “

How is this still on? Its a wrap the women are all leaving except Robin.

So stupid to even have this on.

Why???? There are no sister wives anymore?? Stop this bull?.

I wouldn’t waste a second watching this disgusting show.

Why is this show still on. Do they not have jobs other than filming for this show.”

Put The ‘Show To Bed’

Among the many negative comments, one disgruntled Sister Wives viewer, @roxyroller9045 opined, “TLC needs to put this show to bed. There is nothing interesting about these people. Making drama just for the money.??.”
