See How Princess Kate Teamed Up With Zara Tindall To Rubbish Meghan Markle Claim

What do you do when someone claims there are certain rules to royal dressing and it’s not exactly true?

You step out in a beautiful burgundy gown and disgrace them. When it comes to fashion, Princess Kate always brings her A-game, and nothing Meghan ever says is ever going to change that.

Princess Kate Used Her Annual Christmas Celebration To Send A Message

You know that phrase “action speaks louder than words?” I doubt most people practice it as well as the Princess of Wales. What am I talking about?

Remember when Meghan Markle claimed she mostly wore neutral colors during her time with the monarchy because she feared she might clash with Her Majesty the late Queen Elizabeth? Well, she did, in her two-part Netflix docuseries released last year December.

In the third episode of the docuseries, Meghan said she wore mostly “camel, beige and white” because there was a royal rule stopping her from wearing any color she wanted.

She added, “There was thought in that, to my understanding, you can’t ever wear the same colour as Her Majesty if there’s a group event. I wore a lot of muted tones but it also was so I could just blend in. Like I’m not trying to stand out here.”

A week after the episode dropped, Kate responded in the most royal way possible, by rocking burgundy to her Christmas Carol concert. But to send a message, she needed an accomplice – or accomplices in this case – and she found this in the form of Zara Tindall, the daughter of Princess Anne. Kate’s sister, Pippa Middleton, and her daughter Princess Charlotte also rocked burgundy for the occasion.

Kate’s burgundy coat was from Eponine in London, and she paired it with a matching clutch bag and shoes. The boys also kinda observed this color code, with Prince William and Mike Tindall rocking burgundy ties for the occasion.

Just this month, Kate announced the return of her annual Christmas choir concert. The concert honors the work done by charity workers throughout the year by offering them an invitation to the poignant event that celebrates the magic of Christmas.
