Savannah Chrisley counts down the days until her mom and dad, Todd and Julie start their prison sentences. Convicted of bank and wire fraud, they will be inside for many years. Todd received 12 years, and Julie, seven years. Candidly, their daughter addresses the situation on her new podcast, “Unlocked.” This week, she talked about marriage, having kids, and how the prison terms will impact her life.
Savannah Chrisley Talks About Life & Prison
On January 17, Todd and Julie will report to their respective prisons. If you don’t know, Todd has been assigned to FCI Pensacola prison. Meanwhile, several hours away, Julie will go to FCI Marianna. Effectively, their physical marriage comes to a grinding halt in just a few weeks. Info arrived that the family is focussing on enjoying the holidays before the day of separation. However, incarceration weighs on their minds.
Savannah Chrisley might be taking over custody of her younger brother, Grayson, and her adopted sister, Chloe. However, Todd seemed reluctant to discuss it, citing privacy reasons. Obviously, when Todd goes to prison, he will leave behind his family and enter a new world where he won’t have millions of dollars. Plus, he won’t have any celebrity status with the prison officers. So, time will be hard for those behind bars and for the family outside. And for their daughter, it means a bleak future.
Savannah Chrisley Won’t Get Married Or Have kids
Talking on her podcast, Savannah feels that she won’t be able to get married and have children. At least until her mom and dad are free. That’s a long time for the former Chrisley Knows Best star to put her life on hiatus. She said, “I feel like there’s a level of guilt moving on with my life.” She added, “thinking of mom and dad not being here during certain life events.” So, she claimed, “in my mind, I can’t move on with my life.”
Savannah Chrisley also said, “until I know that they’re gonna be there, I can’t get married.” She talked about how Todd argued that he’s still going to be “alive,” even though he might not be “in front” of her. However, the reality is that no matter how much faith the family has, soon, they will be apart. Appeals will be filed, but the judge was particularly hard because neither Todd nor Julie showed any remorse. In fact, they still talk about their innocence.
USA Network Fans Comment
Savannah Chrisley, followers feel, is being way too hard on herself. When Entertainment Tonight posted about the podcast on YouTube, one viewer, It’s Me, Ashley, said, “Praying for Savannah. don’t rush babygirl into a final decision now just live for yourself you never know what God has in store.”
Meanwhile, Harper Grace opined, “That’s sad don’t put your life on hold you’ll never be promised tomorrow. On the other hand, the sentence was way too harsh.”
