Savannah Chrisley Is Done With Chloe Being her Niece

Savannah Chrisley is tired of people referring to Chloe as her niece. In fact, she ranted about it after a rather sweet article about Chloe’s back-to-school day arrived.

As far as Todd’s daughter is concerned, Chloe is her sister, and she wants people to stop calling her anything else.

Technically, Chloe is the niece of Lindsie Chrisley. That’s because Chloe’s dad is Kyle, Lindsie’s brother. Before the Chrisley Knows Best alum married Juile, Todd was married to his childhood sweetheart, Teresa Terry.

Lindsie and Kyle followed but the marriage broke down after about seven years. Later, Todd married Julie and they produced Chase, Grayson, and his sister.

If you don’t know, Kyle and his girlfriend, Angela Johnson had Chloe, but because of his mental health issues, Chloe was raised by Todd and Julie.

Savannah Chrisley is irritated because Chloe lived with her mom and dad since she was a baby. Additionally, they actually went through an official adoption process. For Chloe, there are no other parents, and she views her big sister as just that.

She doesn’t see Chase as an uncle, but as a bother. Mind you, these days, her big sister raises her as a daughter. That’s because she assumed custody of Chloe when her parents were imprisoned for tax and fraud-related offenses.

When US Weekly wrote an article about Chloe going off to school, they used the word “niece” in the story. So, her big sister said on Instagram Stories, “Chloe is MY SISTER…so please stop reporting ‘Niece.” Apparently, it confuses Chloe when people refer to her as a niece because she always thought of herself as Todd’s daughter.

Savannah Chrisley explained in another slide, that she understands that it can be a bit “tricky” when it comes to “adoption.” then she said that the family never forced Chloe to call her family one thing or another. instead, she naturally identified as a sister. Plus, she explained that Chloe even had therapy to help her sort out her relationships in her life.

Savannah Chrisley told USA Network fans that Chloe thinks of Todd and Julie as her parents, and therefore, she thinks of herself, Grayson, and Chase as her siblings as well. She added, “…just because someone birthed a child doesn’t mean that they have been a parent. Family is what we make it.”
