Savannah Chrisley Discusses Rewards of Parenting, Todd Chrisley

Reality TV personality and podcast host Savannah Chrisley is sharing what it is like as the guardian of her two siblings while her parents serve their lengthy prison sentences. Savannah is the daughter of Todd and Julie Chrisley of Chrisley Knows Best Fame. The pair have been serving time in prison for tax evasion since the start of this year.

Savannah Chrisley Becomes A Parent Overnight

Savannah Chrisley is now raising her two siblings, Grayson, who is 17 years old and Chloe, who is actually her niece. Both Todd and Julie were raising the young girl before they were sentenced to 12 years and 7 years, respectively.

Todd Chrisley Gives Savannah Parenting Advice

While discussing raising her siblings on her podcast entitled Unlocked with Savannah Chrisley, Savannah shared what her father Todd told her before he went to prison. “You know what, dad’s even said, he was like, ‘Savannah, what you’re about to do,’ he said, ‘is going to be the toughest thing you’ve ever done, but it’s going to be the most rewarding,’ ” the reality TV star shared about her new role.

Savannah Shares How A Smile Can Change Everything

The 25-year-old went on to share how the struggles haven’t come without rewards. “And literally, I was laying in bed with Chloe the other night and she literally hugged me up, put her arm around me, and she goes, ‘I just want to let you know you’re doing a really good job with Mom and Dad gone,’ and I literally was like, ‘That, kids, that’s what it’s all about.’ “

Adding, “It can be so hard, but when they feel the love, and you see a smile on their face, doesn’t matter if you have the crappiest day in the world. It literally changes everything,” she concludes.

A New Chrisley TV Show Is On The Way

While Chrisley Knows Best fans were treated to a small limited season to close out the long running show, they can now look forward to a new adventure with the siblings of the series.

Back in February of this year, Savannah Chrisley announced that the siblings would star in a new series that follows their lives now without their parents. Nanny Faye, the mother of Todd Chrisley, is also said to be ready to make an appearance. The show would touch on how they are coping and moving on. A release date has yet to be announced.
