This might be another situation of they are damned if they do and they are damned if they don’t. British Royal News says that Prince William and his wife Meghan Markle are getting a lot of criticism for arriving empty-handed during a vist at a Windsor food bank. Here’s what you need to know.

According to reports, the Prince and Princess of Wales made a joint appearance at the Windsor Foodshare, which is a food bank that is located nearby Windsor Castle. Some critics believe that the royal couple could have done their part by arriving at the food bank with some food, but tht didn’t happen. Instead, they just met some volunteers and learned about the facility while waving and shaking everyone’s hands before heading back home. Some people think a small donation would have gone a long way.

Needless to say, many royal fans and critics alike sure did have a lot to say about Willilam and Kate not bringing and canned goods with them during their royal engagement on social media. Some comments included, “They’ve lived up the way from that food bank & not a visit till today. How long did it take Duchess Meghan to reach out to the Community Kitchen when she moved to England? Bill & Katy are unserious,” along with, “Foodbanks need to stop politicians and royal celebs from using them for PR purposes, and using them they are. Unless they come armed with practical solutions or foodstuffs to replenish then they should be told to stay away.”

Another critic said, “I find it quite embarrassing that the Royals are visiting a food bank. They live in luxury at the cost of the taxpayer and then they visit a food bank? What is the purpose? What is the message? I don’t understand.”

So far Prince William and Kate Middleton haven’t made any comments about the criticism but it’s doubtful that they will.
