Right now, fans of the modern Western hit series, Yellowstone, worry about the rumors of Kevin Costner potentially leaving the show. However, they are also clamoring to know when new episodes of season 5 will drop. Meanwhile, it seems a moment from the series echoes their frustration in the form of a clip starring Rip Wheeler (Cole Hauser).

Yellowstone’s Rip Wheeler’s patience is wearing thin

On March 7, the official Yellowstone Instagram account shared a video clip of Rip Wheeler (Hauser), who isn’t impressed. His wife, Beth Dutton (Kelly Reilly), has forced him to spend time at a bar to celebrate a recent business deal. While she is enjoying herself, Rip wishes he was anywhere but there.

In the clip, Rip says to a fellow cowboy in the bar: “I got about a half-hour left in me of this s***. Meanwhile, Yellowstone captioned the post, writing, “Patience wearing thin. #YellowstoneTV.”

Fans believe the clip refers to season 5 part 2

Yellowstone fans may remember the scene, as it happened moments before Rip had to get Beth out of a bar fight. However, they didn’t mention this in the comments. Instead, fans noted that Rip’s words speak volumes about where the hit modern Western currently stands with part 2 of season 5.

Meanwhile, they hit the comments section, with one fan writing: “My patience wearing thin waiting for season 5 to come out on Peacock or Paramount Plus.” Another follower wrote, “Rip speaking for the fans …” Meanwhile, another commented, writing, “My thoughts about them taking a long break in the middle of the season wtf?”

However, another fan isn’t too worried if Costner leaves the show, as she commented:

Hey Cole your wife is one lucky woman! I’m 71 and been married 3 times, all 3 died on me. If I wasn’t so old….well you know. We love you!!! So what if Kevin leaves, the cast is SO freaking awesome we would watch and enjoy ❤❤❤❤❤❤.

When will part 2 of season 5 drop?

Currently, it is unknown when Yellowstone will return for part 2 of season 5. However, in January, the show dropped a trailer to confirm season 5 will return in the summer of 2023.

As for whether Kevin Costner will return to the Yellowstone Ranch as John Dutton, Paramount has assured us he will still be a part of the hit cowboy drama. Speaking to Deadline, a Paramount Network spokesperson said:

We have no news to report. Kevin Costner is a big part of Yellowstone and we hope that’s the case for a long time to come.

Fans no doubt hope that this is true as they wait impatiently for season 5 part 2 of Yellowstone to finally air.
