Queen Elizabeth’s Friend Labels Meghan Markle A Confused Woman

A lot of people have made this argument that Meghan Markle didn’t really know what to expect when she married into the Royal Family.

Perhaps she dreamed it would mean riding around in coaches, receiving cheers and flowers from legions of adoring fans and speaking at an important event every once in a while.

While these things are part of royal life, there’s also a part of it that requires you to give back to the public. And this is the part royal fans are speculating she knew nary about and wanted little to do with.

Queen’s Close Pal Criticises Meghan Markle For Thinking Royal Life Was Like Celebrity Life

Lady Glenconner was a close friend to the late Queen Elizabeth, and was also lady-in-waiting to her younger sibling Princess Margaret.

After spending years as part of the royal circle, she deeply believes lack of understanding was what heavily affected Meghan Markle in her role as a royal.

Speaking on the Rosebud with Gyles Brandreth podcast, the British Socialite, 91, said, ”I think the thing about Meghan was, she had no idea what was expected of her really. I think she just thought it was sort of like being another actress, you know.”

She continued, “Riding around in a golden coach and everything like that. “And actually, being a member of the Royal Family – a lot of it is extremely boring.”

She went on to say that being a member of the Royal Family means you get to meet thousands of people and carry on an interesting conversation with them, something we know can’t be easy.

She also believes that Americans see Meghan Markle as a woman who didn’t know anything about the role she thrust herself into, and yet made a fuss that things weren’t going the way she planned.

She recalled meeting American politician John Kerry at the King’s coronation and asking him how Americans view the 42-year-old Duchess, ”He said “We all feel very, very sorry for Harry. I think I can just leave it at that.”‘
