Queen Charlotte A Bridgerton Story: Netflix Premiere Date Revealed

Bridgerton fans have been counting down the days until the highly anticipated spinoff hits Netflix, and now we can confirm the Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story premiere date.  And, we can’t wait!

Of course, if you have been watching Bridgerton on Netflix, you are very familiar with Queen Charlotte.  But, in case you have been living under a rock for the past three seasons of the popular series, here’s an official synopsis from the streaming giant.

Queen Charlotte –  Takes Center Stage In Bridgerton Spinoff

“Centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.”

This Bridgerton spinoff is actually creating a lot of buzz because it is 100% ran by Shonda Rhimes (Yes, the Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away With Murder goddess).  Of course, Rhimes is the executive producer on Bridgerton.  But, unlike its counter part, the Queen Charlotte prequel is completely Rhimes’ baby.

Queen Charlotte – A Bridgerton Story Gets May 4 Premiere Date

According to Bridgerton spoilers, Queen Charlotte will make its Netflix debut in Spring 2023, and has an official premiere date of Thursday May 4th.  Viewers can look forward to a star-studded and impressive cast including names like Golda Rosheuvel (who plays Queen Charlotte currently on Bridgerton), India Amarteifio, Adjoa Andoh (also from the original Bridgerton), Corey Mylchreest, Hugh Sachs, and many more.

On Valentine’s Day 2023 Netflix released a teaser for the Queen Charlotte series and got Bridgerton fans buzzing.  The promo teases “Netflix and Shondaland invite you to fall in love with the story that started it all, Queen Victoria.”
