It seems that Prince George is going to be following in his father’s footsteps and joining a boarding school after all.
It’s not surprising that the royal couple have opted for one that’s all too familiar to Prince William and Prince Harry. Yep, you know where I’m going with this: Eton.
The Eton Prince Harry won’t shut up about in his memoir “Spare.”
Prince George Reportedly Set To Follow The Royal Family Tradition And Move To A Boarding School
Prince George may be a bit late to Eton, but it seems his parents have finally come to the conclusion to follow in the longstanding royal family tradition.
The parents of three were spotted touring the school’s Windsor headquarters with their son in June, sparking speculation that George may be following in his father’s footsteps after all.
At first, royal reporters said that Kate wasn’t onboard with the idea to send her child to a boarding school, but it seems she’s finally seeing things William’s way.
The insider said: “Kate long disagreed with her husband about sending him away, even though it’s tradition. Kate thinks sending him to such a stuffy, upper-crust institution goes against all of their efforts to modernise the monarchy.”
They added, “Plus, she’ll miss George desperately. She and William argued about it for years, but he has finally won.”
William first joined the expensive school in 1995, where he spent five days every week during the school term. The weekends usually saw him staying with his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth at Windsor Castle.
Princess Kate Agreed To Send Prince George To Eton Because He Wants To Be “Just Like His Father”
Even though Kate is said to be worried about sending George away, she finally agreed with William when she found out George was keen on going there himself.
The insider then claimed that Kate’s extreme reserve as to the prospect of boarding schools has a lot to do with the fact that she was terribly bullied at her first boarding school.
“But she’s still heartbroken. She was horribly bullied at her first boarding school, and can’t bear the thought of George suffering through that,” they told In Touch Weekly.
