Princess Eugenie Returning To the UK As Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Set To Launch New Project

Princess Eugenie is set to return to the UK after spending time away in Portugal with her family.

And she couldn’t have made the grand return at a better time, especially with talks hinting that the royal’s status within the monarchy could be updated.

In other news, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly hunting for a house in the UK.

Princess Eugenie Left Because of the Scandal Surrounding Her Father, But Now Felt “Homesick”

At the height of the scandal surrounding her father, Prince Andrew, Eugenie decided to make a quiet exit from the UK with her husband Jack Brooksbank and young child.

Before she left the UK for Portugal, the royal and her husband stayed at Frogmore Cottage, which at the time, was still leased to Harry and Meghan.

This was a sign that the royal still retains a strong relationship with her cousin Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

According to a source, Eugenie had to leave because she felt “abandoned” by the Royal Family as they weathered the storm of the backlash that followed from the Virginia Giuffre case.

The Family Are Now Prepared To Leave Portugal After Eugenie Grew “Rather Homesick”

Eugenie felt there could be a chance she would be allowed to take on more responsibilities within the Royal Family.

Speaking to OK magazine, a source claimed: “Eugenie won’t be able to fulfil her roles if she spends so much time abroad. So, she’s decided to spend more and more time in the UK, slowly transitioning to a permanent move back.”

The source added: “There are plans to increase her roles with the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and other worthy charities. Official royal engagements are also being discussed where she will step in for senior royals if they are unable to attend.”

This comes at a time when sources say Harry wishes to return to the UK. However, Meghan is said not to be onboard with the plan, with a source telling Heat Magazine, “Meghan’s so happy to be back in California, she can’t imagine leaving.”

At the moment, Meghan is busy looking for celebrity backing for her lifestyle blog The Tig.
