Prince William To Launch A New Homelessness Project

It looks like he’s got a new initiative that he’s working on. There are new reports that say Prince William is looking to launch his new homelessness project in the next couple of weeks. This comes after the Princes of Wales was spotted attending the opening of a block of 33 new apartments built by the charity Centrepoint for young homeless people in London. Prince William To Launch A New Homelessness Project

According to Express, William has had a few official meetings with his royal handlers to discuss his new project. A lot of people believe the focus will be on trying to get homeless people off the streets and into affordable accommodations. The timing of the new project should come at about June 21st, which also happens to be Prince William’s 41st birthday.

So far William himself has not made any comments about the news. However, Prince William has hinted plenty of times in the past that he does want to make the issue of homelessness in the UK his new passion. Of course, many royal fans and critics alike sure do have a lot to say about the matter.

Some have commented with, “The gall of this man when he refuses to open up his multiple properties to the poor. This is yet another attempt to try and get a leg-up on Harry. Baldy has failed at everything in life. I expect no different for this latest ‘initiative,’” along with, “If he actually executes this then that would be tremendous and would change lives. But I suspect that this is just lip service, and chatter to compete with Harry and the ACTUAL work that he has done and that has helped so many.”

Another fan wrote, “I’m very curious because actually making an impact on homelessness would require a lot of partnership with various levels of government and social spending. If a royal can get a cross government commitment to long-term funding then yay, but also…kind of goes against their apolitical stance.”
