Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly looking forward to having their kids spend their first big Christmas with Harry’s family this year.

So far, the Sussexes have celebrated four Christmases away from the Royal Family, and while tensions still remain in their relationship with the family, Harry is reportedly hoping the spirit of the season may make his father extend him an invite.

In fact, Christmas at Sandringham is one of Harry’s fondest memories growing up. In his 2022 Netflix docuseries, the Duke confessed that he misses “the weird family gatherings when we’re all brought together under one roof for certain times of the year.”

Talking to the Sunday Times, a friend of the couple claimed, “I can’t imagine the Sussexes would decline an invitation to spend time with His Majesty. As of yet, there have not been any invitations for the holidays.”

It seems that just as Harry and Meghan weren’t invited to the King’s 75th birthday party, they wouldn’t be getting invites to this year’s Christmas get-together.

However, he knows he can’t rush things like these, especially since William is none too happy with all Harry’s had to say about him through various media outlets.

“There are issues that aren’t resolved and there won’t be a rapprochement any time soon.

There is the sense of a cooling-off period from the family that is underway after the aftershocks of the book and interviews,” a source close to the King previously told the Sunday Times.
