Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Scrambling To Get Spotify Rival Deal To Recoup Millions Lost

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Scrambling To Get Spotify Rival Deal To Recoup Millions LostHollywood is not so kind to Harry and Meghan right now, despite their royal titles and connections. But they’ve not given up on cracking the system yet. When Harry and Meghan first arrived in the US, they were soon presented with a pick of entertainment deals to choose from – Spotify, Netflix, Penguin Random House, and more, but now all that rush seems to have died down.

There’s no new Netflix project on the works, Spotify has bowed out, and while it’s possible Harry could get his pen out and write another memoir, it seems not to be a decision they’ve made.

So what’s left? Meghan Markle’s blog The Tig, and if done right, the former actress believes it can catapult her to a new level of fame. Here’s what we know so far.

Meghan Markle Reportedly Looking Forward To Partnering With Julia Michaels

Prince Harry and Meghan are reportedly looking to ink a new deal with Spotify rival giant, Audible, in a move to recoup the millions they lost when Spotify canceled their deal.

It is said that the pair’s business advisers are currently in talks with the Amazon-owned audiobook and podcast service, Audible, whose roster includes former US President and First Lady, Barack and Michelle Obama.

However, Meghan is no longer putting all her eggs in one basket, as she is reportedly reaching out to celebrities in an aim to get them to partner with her blog The Tig. One of the A-list stars she reportedly reached out to is the “Pretty Woman” actress, Julia Roberts.

The source said: “Harry and Meghan are retooling, retrenching and preparing to change course in their efforts to establish themselves and their production company Archewell as serious players across multi-media platforms. Expect them to come out swinging in the New Year.”

In June, Spotify terminated their $20 million contract early after they produced around a dozen podcasts.

At the time, Spotify company chief Bill Simmons publicly branded them “grifters” and United Talent Agency boss Jeremy Zimmer said they didn’t have “audio talent, or necessarily any kind of talent.”

This did not stop Meghan from developing “more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform.”
