Prince George’s Gift From Grandpa King Charles Includes These Amazing Features

Prince George's Gift From Grandpa King Charles Includes These Amazing FeaturesWhat beats getting a pony at the age of six? Getting a Victorian-style playhouse. I wonder if Santa’s workshop can still make this final request, because I need it for Christmas.

George actually received this expensive shepherd’s hut for his birthday, but no doubt he wouldn’t be on the market for the dream gift anytime soon after receiving this amazing gift.

Prince George Gifted A Luxurious Playhouse He Can Grow Into

When you have everything, there’s very few things you’d want; one of them is a tiny house to call your home, where you can actually make the rules.

This particular house comes complete with European oak flooring, a real wood-burner and a luxury daybed. It also features a luxury double-glazed window frames that are made from seasoned English oak.

Charles didn’t only gift him the house – which by the way took over 250 hours to build – he also chose the perfect location for it; the edges of a wildflower meadow.

This means that George and his siblings, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, can enjoy the beautiful view while they play.

This particular playhouse was built by hut firm Plankbridge, and in 2020, co-founder Richard Lee told PEOPLE, “We made it for his first birthday last year. As he gets older, it will be more than a [play house]. It will be whatever they want it to be.”

He also shared that the royals were happy to see the tiny home, saying that they were pleased to see the house’s grand design and functionality.

The company originally created the house as a way to thank the monarch for his generous donation to the company through the Prince’s Trust in 1994.

At the time, Richard was a carpenter struggling to make ends meet, so you can imagine that the gift was so gratefully received.

He explained: “We offered to do it and they were very grateful for the offer.”

King Charles was said to be very involved in the development of the tiny property, and even suggested that the interior be painted with duck egg blue color.

As for George, the young royal was said to enjoy playing in it.

He added: “Apparently so! Yes, he’s been in it and he’s played in there. It’s their private home and we don’t get too involved, but we’ve heard that it’s gone down well.”
