Omid Scobie Accuses The Press Of Hiding Large Sections Of His Book From The Public

Omid Scobie is tired of discussing the royal racists named in his book when it has a wealth of fascinating information just waiting to be discovered.

So of course, Scobie believes the dismal sale of his book has something to do with the fact that the press only did a one-sided coverage of the book’s contents. He believes they’re trying to sabotage him.

Prior to the release of “Endgame,” Scobie claimed it was crammed full of useful information about the current stage of the monarchy and their fight to survive in the modern age.

However, most of the news on the book has to do with the fact that the Dutch version of it named two alleged royal racists said to make comments on Archie’s skin color.

Scobie attempted to explain it away by denying ever providing a manuscript with the names on.

However, the Dutch publisher Xander Utigevers accused him of providing “factually incorrect” information. Turns out that there’s a version of the draft with the names on. Nevertheless, Dutch versions of the book have been recalled.

“I wrote and edited the English version of the book with one publisher, that then gets licensed to other publishers. I obviously can’t speak Italian, German, French, Dutch or any of the other languages that it’s come out.”

He added: “I’m as frustrated as everyone else. I had never submitted a book that had their names in it. I can only talk about my version. I’m frustrated but I wouldn’t say I’m upset about it.”

While the book’s first week sales isn’t what Scobie hoped it would have been, he is encouraged by the upsurge in this week’s sales, enough to appreciate his readers.

On X, he wrote: “There is so much in this book that large sections of the press don’t want you to read, so it’s great to see new readers discovering #ENDGAME for themselves. I’m told there has been a big upsurge in e-book and audiobook sales this week, so thank you.”

He then added a screenshot from Amazon’s website which says his book is a number one bestseller in the British royalty biographies section.
