My Big Fat Fabulous Life: Whitney Way Thore Shares Struggle With Memory Loss

It has been a while since the star of My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Whitney Way Thore, has graced the small screen. The reality series has been between seasons with an extra long break this time due to what appears to be some major life events and changes in Way Thore’s life.

Whitney Way Thore – Shares Grief Concerns on IG

Whitney Way Thore seemed to slow on posting to social media as well since the season 10 finale that aired in October of 2022.

The 39-year-old however, has been engaging with her fans more and more these days and it appears to coincide with life easing up some for the North Carolina resident, as well as the start of season 11 of the TLC series on September 5th.

Prior to the season opener, Way Thore is sharing some recent struggles with memory loss. Last week, Way Thore shared a video on Instagram, detailing how she somehow forgot that she had already been to visit her mother’s mausoleum.

In the video, Way Thore is shocked to learn from her father that she had been to visit the final resting place several times of her mother Barbara “Babs” Thore.

Babs passed away in December 2022 and as far as Whitney had remembered that was the last time she had been to the mausoleum.

She took to Instagram to ask fans what they thought about grief and memory. “Does grief just erase your memory?” Whitney asked her fans on IG. “Like, I fully believed yesterday that I had not been there since December. Crazy.”

Whitney also went on to share another incident where she spoke with a Big Fat Fabulous Life fan while visiting her mother’s resting place and did not remember that as well.

Fans took to IG to support Whitney, leaving warm messages and their own struggles with losing a parent and the memory related issues that occurred due to grief.

Whitney Way Thore – What’s To Come In Season 11

Season 11 is set to premiere on TLC on September 5th and will detail the last ten months of Way Thore’s life.

The season is expected to give fans answers surrounding Whitney’s relationships with the French Man, showcase the family’s sad experiences after the death of Bab’s, and also reveal a long lost half sibling.
