After horror author Stephen King himself championed the MGM+ series From, the Harold Perrineau led series has become a major hit. Recently, fans watched the finale episode of season 2 and are no doubt wondering when the series will return for a third season. While there is little information out there right now, read on to find out what we know (or speculate) so far.

After the puzzling finale of From season 2, fans are impatiently awaiting news of the third season of the popular horror series. The show truly took off after horror author Stephen King gave it the thumbs up and the fanbase is still growing. However, after watching that finale episode of season 2, fans are wondering what is next for our friends in the MGM+ series.
As the show drops on an annual basis, with season 1 dropping in 2022, and season 2 in 2023, it is most likely the third season will drop in 2024. In fact, production does already seem to be underway after The Coast dropped a list of productions coming to Nova Scotia soon. In fact, on April 28, 2023, it claimed shooting for From season 3 would start “in the coming weeks.” They wrote:
In the coming weeks, the series From is set to return to Nova Scotia for filming. The sci-fi horror series debuted last September and immediately won over critics and audiences alike, delivering a story that swirls around a small town in middle America where things are decidedly…off, as all who enter the town are then trapped there in a Hotel California-type situ.
It’s a no-brainer that Harold Perrineau will return as Boyd Stevens and likely the surviving main cast from season 2 will be back. Of course, Perrineau is well known for his role in Lost and From comes from the same source as that mystery horror series. As no major characters died in the season 2 finale, it is almost definite they will return, including the currently missing Tabitha.

As the second season added a number of cast members (by way of the bus), season 3 is also likely to have more unfortunate arrivals in town.
While plot details are currently scarce, the series’ director Jack Bender did tease that season 3 will be “worse” for our favorite characters than season 2. While it is hard to imagine things getting worse than in season 2, obviously he knows what is coming. Meanwhile, he did say the events of the new season will pick up from where the season 2 finale left off. Talking to TellTale TV, Bender said:
Every time you feel you can get out that way, bang, you hit the wall of the mirror here, here, here, here, here, and it accumulates and builds to a great crescendo at the end of season two. It builds and builds to a really powerful, crazy, climactic end of the season, which is where we’re going to pick up season three. It does get worse; It’s like quicksand.
The end of the finale episode revealed Tabitha waking up in a hospital. She looks out the window and sees unfamiliar scenes of a city below. Does this mean she has escaped from the town? We hope so, for her sake, but what about the family she leaves behind?
