Meghan Markle To Relaunch Lifestyle Blog ‘The Tig’ Five Years After Shutting It Down

According to a source close to the Duchess of Sussex, the former actress is looking forward to venturing back into the blogging space after her latest ventures failed to solidly take off. As fans of the Duchess already know, her Spotify podcast series, “Archetypes,” was axed just after one season run, and there’s no news of Meghan being involved in any upcoming Netflix program.

Prince Harry’s “Heart of Invictus” Failed To Capture A Considerable Audience To Break Into The Netflix Top Ten.

Meghan’s dream to represent top brands in ambassadorship deals is not coming as easily as she would have liked.

So I guess it’s time to build a Brand Sussex that doesn’t only employ outrage marketing to sell. Meghan reportedly thinks her travel and lifestyle blog is the best way to go.

Meghan Markle’s Blog To Rival Gwyneth Paltrow’s “The Goop”

According to TMZ, Meghan’s revamped blog will cover more than travel and lifestyle. This is coming after it was reported that Meghan’s team filed for new trademarks for “The Tig” through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Despite using the same logo as the old blog, it will cover way more topics than the old one did. And why not? After all, she’s got way more experience under her belt since the last time she posted on the blog to say farewell to her loyal followers.

I mean, her marriage to Prince Harry did give her a chance to dabble on the world stage, and let’s be honest, it’s an experience like no other.

The trademark filing said the new website wants to focus on “food, cooking, recipes, travel, relationships, fashion, style, lifestyle, the arts, culture, design, conscious living, and health and wellness.”

Rumors have since been swirling that the Duchess means to rival celebrity blog “The Goop,” run by the “Iron Man” star, Gwyneth Paltrow, and the description proves that the rumors have hit it home this time.

When Will Meghan Markle’s Trademark For “The Tig” Be Granted?

In April, Meghan was granted a notice of allowance when no one filed an opposition to her trademark application.

Her next steps will likely include a Statement of Use that shows that the website is up and running and being actively updated. If she achieves this before October, it’ll only take a month for the trademark to be approved.

You can still view her website, but the only thing up is her farewell letter from when she shut down the blog to marry Britain’s Prince Harry.
