Meghan Markle Scraps Mega Project To Pursue A Different Direction

Say goodbye to Meghan Markle’s Spotify podcast series, Archetypes, because it will no longer be coming back in any form or manner.

After her less than amicable split with Spotify, she’s turning her eyes towards other activities that may turn into multi-million dollar ventures, like the Spotify deal once was.

Meghan Markle Gives Up On Trying To Trademark Her Archetypes Podcast

Meghan Markle is officially walking away from her podcast series “Archetypes” despite drawing in the best stars to chat on issues relevant to women in today’s world.

At the time, the series was meant to be the first in her and Prince Harry’s multi-million dollar deal with the giant streaming platform.

However, following the release of the first season, Spotify announced that they would be canceling it in June.

At first, Meghan and Harry’s production company Archewell Productions shared that the decision to cancel their deal was mutual, but a top Spotify exec seemed to hint that the termination was not as happy as the Sussexes would have fans believe.

However, Meghan’s bid to trademark the word “Archetypes” – despite the word being used in the English language for over 470 years – was denied due to the US Patent and Trademark Office finding that the name Archetypes was too similar to an already existing trademark.

The company, Project Miracle IP Holdings, submitted the trademark to cover a prospective “website featuring blogs and non-downloadable publications in the nature of articles in the field(s) of nutrition, fitness, sexuality, psychological self-improvement, personality identification and matching, personal relationships and dating, spirituality, horoscopes and astrology, fashion, music, and reviews and recommendations for books.”

Across Its 12 Episodes, Archetypes Featured Guests Like Paris Hilton, Mindy Kaling, Mariah Carey and Serena Williams.

At the moment, there’s been no definite news of Meghan’s future endeavors, but there are rumors she’s looking to relaunch her The Tig blog, represent big brands as an ambassador and even make a grand return to acting.

It’s only a matter of time until WME is done rebranding the former royal and fans can get treated to whatever she wants to launch next.
