Meghan Markle Has Reportedly Moved On From Royal Family Drama

According to Omid Scobie, Meghan Markle wants to put all things royal behind her. Who’s stopping her?

Her husband Prince Harry, who still reportedly has a lot to get off his chest.

Does this mean that no Meghan memoir will be surfacing anytime soon or is this one of those time we think they’re done trashing the royal family and they instead choose to surprise us?

Prince Harry Still Has “Unfinished Business” With His Family

Omid Scobie’s “Endgame” is going to give fans an insight into Harry and Meghan’s famous rift with the royal family, as well as explore the future of the monarchy following the controversies created by the Sussexes.

“Quite early on in the [book-writing] process, some of those Meghan sources that I really leant on in the earlier years this time were like, ‘You know what? She doesn’t want anything to do with it,’ ” Omid, who has covered the Royal Family for more than a decade, said.

“For Harry it’s different. He still has unfinished business when it comes to his battles with the press. His challenge will be to find something that balances that out so we can see him working in a space that isn’t connected to the ties that bind from the past,” he shared with PEOPLE for their cover interview ahead of the release of his book “Endgame” on Nov. 28.

On Tuesday, As King Charles Celebrated His 75th Birthday, Harry And Meghan Reportedly Reached Out With Their Well-Wishes.

“With Harry, there’s a reluctant acceptance that this is just who his father is. He would rather have that in his life than to cut it off completely. Hence, when they talk it is often [Harry] reaching out,” Scobie shared. “And I was surprised to learn that even Meghan has some sort of correspondence with Charles, sending over photos of the children, although they’re not directly to him. So there is a willingness there.”

However, mending the rift with the royal family will not be easy, as both sides reportedly want to take things slow.

In the case of William, close sources claim he isn’t ready to patch things up and wants to focus on his role as heir to the throne and make the most impact possible.

“William’s so far forward in his journey that what is important today is very different to what was important 10 years ago,” Scobie said.
