MBFFL Star Whitney Way Thore Shares Throwback Photos Of Babs

My Big Fat Fabulous Life (MBFFL) star Whitney Way Thore lost her mom, Babs, and as she goes through the grieving process, she is generously sharing throwback photos of her late mom. TLC Fans adored Babs and her husband Glenn so they feel heartsore for the family. In many ways, sharing her mom makes bereft fans help to deal with the loss as well.

When Season 10 of the show was on the go in August, spoilers revealed that Babs had suffered another stroke. Actually, the severity of it didn’t strike fans until they saw footage of her being released from rehab. In fact, it seemed that fans thought she might pull through. After all, she survived before,  and she was a fighter. The fact that she left rehab also gave them hope for a good outcome.

Whitney Way Thore kept fans informed about her mom’s progress, and she moved from rehab into an assisted living unit last year. However, there was no way the My Big Fat Fabulous Life star was going to let her live alone. So, she and her dad also moved into Abbotswood. The footage came in September, but the actual filming took place in January last year. The family did everything to make Babs enjoy her last days, but sadly, she passed away.

MBFFL fans were brokenhearted when they heard that Babs passed away with her family at her side after watching a favorite movie. Some of them were grateful that the family left the funeral open for fans to attend. Since then, they have followed the TLC star as she makes her way through life without her beloved mom. This weekend, throwback photos appeared on Instagram, and TLC fans really loved them.

Whitney Way Thore simply captioned a slideshow of her mom with, “My sweet girl! ? Age 18, 19, 20, 21, and 22!” The photos were arranged by date order and ranged from 1964 to 1968. Actually, as she grew a bit older, fans were startled to see how much Babs resembled her daughter. At the age of 22, she could have been her daughter’s twin.

MBFFL – Fans Comment

Whitney Way Thore got a lot of comments about the throwback photos. One fan wrote, “Wow the resemblance!!!! I’m so sorry for your loss… I lost my mom [in] March 2022 and it’s so tough.”

One grateful fan said, “You are your mother’s daughter. Thank you for sharing her bright light with us all. ??.”

Another follower opined, “Your Mom was so beautiful, inside and out!”

Actually, it seems sad because when Babs was recovering from her stroke, Whitney would read her all the lovely comments from fans. That can’t happen anymore. Hopefully, Babs looks down from heaven and knows that her family and fans still think of her with a lot of love.
