Mama June Spoilers: Alana Thompson Does NOT Speak to Sugar Bear Regularly

Mama June spoilers reveal that Alana Thompson has started to open up more about her father, Sugar Bear Thompson. Alana was legally adopted by her sister, Lauryn Efird and her husband. Lauryn felt that Alana needed parental figures in her life after Sugar Bear and June Shannon both abandoned her. It turns out that even though Alana is doing her best to repair her relationship with her mother, it doesn’t look like her and Sugar Bear communicate very often. Let’s find out why.

Alana and Her Father

When Lauryn was asked about Alana’s relationship with Sugar Bear, she told fans that he is “not involved at all”. She added, “He wasn’t even at Alana’s graduation.

She hasn’t spoken to him in a year now. Honestly, I’m unaware of how he’s doing at all. We literally have no type of communication. Neither does Alana. Even after Alana’s graduation, he took two weeks to reach out and say congratulations.”

This news all comes after Sugar Bear signed up to attend rehab for his prescription drug addiction. There have been rumors swirling that he never even made it onto his flight to get to rehab, so no one is quite sure where he is at this moment. Sugar Bear isn’t the only parent who has a strained relationship with Alana. June does as well.

June and Her Daughters

On this season of Mama June: Family Crisis, June has been gearing up for her wedding to Justin Stroud. She wanted to go all out and wanted her daughters to give her away. Alana does like having her mother back around, but things have been tense here and there.

Lauryn told fans, “I know for a long time, I have been the mom. So it’s nice to give that role back to Mama. I feel like it’s a relief for me because I don’t have as much on my plate with already having, raising five kids. She’s actually a part and has been a part of the graduating process with Alana.”

Even though their relationships seemed very strained, June is doing her best to be a parent to her daughters again. She did turn her back on them for quite some time, but it seems that they are all getting along much better these days.
