Little People, Big World spoilers reveal that according to The Sun, Matt, 61, and his twin sons had a falling out when the Roloff patriarch rejected their respective offers to purchase Roloff Farms and decided instead to sell off a portion of the property.
The TLC personality recently took to Instagram and opened up about his chief parenting regret in a post he shared over the holidays. The LPBW veteran touched on several issues in his lengthy caption.
Next to a photo of the sky shot from the cabin of an airplane, Matt wrote, “We decided at the last minute to leave Oregon a day early so as to miss the big ice storm. I’m so glad we did!” He then added that had been “freezing cold almost everywhere except down here in beautiful Arizona.”
The father of four continued, writing, “the farm was completely iced over within a few hours of taking off. I hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and warm across the country and around the world.” He then addressed spending time with his girlfriend Caryn Chandler, 55, their parents, and the couple’s friends in Arizona.
Matt disclosed, “It’s my mother’s first major holiday without my dad,” but added,” we had dinner together last night and I’m happy to report that my beautiful mother is doing wonderful.”
There were several other images included in the post, such as one of Zach, 32, opening Christmas gifts with his children, Jackson and Lilah, one with Matt and Jeremy’s son Radley, and a family photo with Matt, Caryn, Jacob Roloff, his wife Isabel, and their son Mateo. Of course, Mateo’s face was scribbled out in the shot, respecting the wishes of his parents to maintain the youngster’s privacy.
In the comment section of the post, a fan pointed out that, though the pictures were beautiful, Matt had “totally shown” his grandson’s face. They continued: “It’s not hard to see what he looks like and his parents do not want his face shown.”
Another commented, “Finally seen Mateo,” which prompted Matt to ask which photo the fan was referring to. Someone else made an observation, writing, “It’s ok….those are his two different grandsons…Jacob doesn’t want his son’s face shown and he respected and covered his face.”
The writer then added, “Jeremy shows his son’s face so his face was not covered!” When one fan asked, “Why [are] they covering the baby’s face is something wrong?” Matt quickly responded with, “Absolutely not. He’s the cutest baby you’ve ever seen. They just believe in protecting his privacy until he’s old enough to make his own choices. I respect that— and wish I would have thought about that.”
In an ET Online interview, Matt discussed the rocky relationship he’s had recently with his son Zach, saying simply, “it’s on the right path.” He then explained, “I’m talking to Zach every day, it’s not easy but it’s going in the right direction I would say and we don’t have big expectations.”
