Lainey Wilson On First Kiss With Ian Bohen On Yellowstone And Rules She Set

In part 1 of season 5 of Yellowstone, fans got to see country singer Lainey Wilson and her first kiss with Ian Bohen. While this was definitely a romantic moment in the show, it turns out playing that part wasn’t as much fun as it looks. In fact, it seems it was almost like hard work.

Country star Lainey Wilson has recently joined Yellowstone in the role of Abby. Meanwhile, Ian Bohen plays the role of a hunky cowboy, Ryan. Spoiler alert for those who haven’t yet watched season 5, Ryan and Abby become a romantic couple. In fact, they shared a passionate kiss on the show.

Speaking to Adison Haager in a new episode of Dutton Rules: A Yellowstone 1923 Podcast, Lainey opened up about that kiss, saying:

He clearly knew this was my first rodeo and I knew it was not his.

While Wilson is well used to appearing on stage, she is not used to what happens on a Yellowstone film set. The new addition to the modern Western series opened up about kissing Ian Bohen. While she had loads of technical direction, she was not ready for it. Lainey said she wasn’t sure if she and Ian should make a plan, or whether it was like Fight Club, where the No. 1 is you don’t talk about it. Wilson continued:

I did lay some ground rules. I was like, ‘Don’t do this, don’t do this and don’t do this.’ And he was like, ‘Whatever makes you feel comfortable.’

Meanwhile, she stressed, “Do not put your tongue in my mouth,” adding, “Do not do that.”

Moreover, Ian obviously took her words to heart as the kiss did look sweet and genuine. Also, while Lainey was nervous throughout the kiss, she is glad her anxiety didn’t show through. The Yellowstone actress explained that Bohen made her feel comfortable and that “It wasn’t like a real-life kiss.”

Moreover, Wilson added that whenever she forgets the words, she can look at Ian and he knows them, adding, “So we all good.”

When will season 5 of Yellowstone resume?

When asked if she had any news on when part 2 of season 5 will air, Lainey didn’t even share whether she is involved in the upcoming filming. However, she did tell Haager that since joining Yellowstone, she has caught the acting bug. Wilson said she would be looking for scripts to fit a girl with her talent and Louisiana accent.
