King Charles Proposes To Provide 200 Million Meals For The Poor

I don’t think Disney teaches this in royal camp, but King Charles wants to make it a reality. Think public service, but in a smarter and more functional way.

King Charles Kicks Off Massive Project With A Six Figure Donation

King Charles has put thoughts to paper and figured he could feed hundreds, and even thousands, of people a year in a grand scheme called the Coronation Food Project.

This project will provide 200 million meals for the poor annually. Already, he’s donated a “substantial“ amount of money to get the project off the ground.

As a Prince, he had the Prince’s Trust, which went on to benefit hundreds of underprivileged kids and continues to do so today. As monarch, this will be his biggest project yet.

It is said that Charles grew concerned about the rising cost of living crisis, which has heavily impacted Britons. To offer relief, he is launching the 5-year project that will see the creation of 8 new hubs and depots.

This will also help lower the wastage of food, as it will redistribute millions of meals that would have been otherwise wasted. The process will supercharge food distribution with warehouses, fridges, freezers and vans.

The first four will be built in London, Glasgow, Mersey-side and Northern Ireland, with the remaining four chosen from a list that includes Cardiff, Leeds, Birmingham, Milton Keynes, the North East and South West.

Courtiers were quick to dismiss any claims that the King means to meddle in politics, instead clarifying that helping those without food is his priority.

However, he’ll kick off the day with an engagement outside London that will officially mark the start of the food project. This will be followed by a second engagement later on in the day.

An aide reportedly said: “The King has been aware of the huge problems facing people because of inflationary issues and the cost of living.

Buckingham Palace has briefed the Government and the Labour Party on Charles’s project and both are supportive of the plan.”
