King Charles Christmas Message Features This Secret Message Breaking From Royal Tradition

King Charles‘ reign represents a lot of things: a desire for every religious group and race to co-exist peacefully and happily, a keen interest in building Britain’s relations with other countries, and of course, a deep desire to transform unhealthy environmental practices to clean and efficient ones.

His coronation alone is proof of his desire to represent all religions, instead of just Christianity, and he showed this by inviting different religious group leaders to partake in the ceremony. His reign has seen him meet with several foreign leaders.

Now, as we celebrate our favorite day of the year, Charles has taken it upon himself to show us that, while we should love ourselves, we should also love the environment.

What’s Christmas without a good old tree to decorate? During this year’s Christmas speech, King Charles broke tradition by including this touching detail. Produced by ITN, the video was filmed in the Centre Room at Buckingham Palace.

Standing elegantly behind His Majesty King Charles, the real life Christmas tree marked a turning point for the royals. Why? It’s the first time a living tree has been used to film a Christmas message.

The tree was decorated with natural and sustainable decorations including hand-turned wood, dried oranges, brown glass, pinecones and paper.

The tree is said to showcase the monarch’s wishes for a clean and more organically-driven future. It will also be replanted after December 25.

Apart from his environmentalism, King Charles’ Christmas message was also praised for being religiously-neutral. According to a source, he wrote the Christmas message himself without help or “recourse to advisers.”

“This follows last year’s inaugural address to the nation when officials were only allowed to make minor alterations to fit with archive footage inserted by the producers,” the source said.
